Abstract

Since March 2020, with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing, teachers from different levels and contexts had to reinvent their pedagogical practices and adapt to Emergency Remote Teaching. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to reflect on this scenario and report the experience with children's music classes, in this case for children aged 6 months to 6 years, at the Integrated Musicalization Center (CMI) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, which operates with Teaching, Research and Outreach activities and offers music classes for the community, also functioning as a laboratory-school and a space for teacher training. Thus, this work aims to point out the challenges of remote classes, reflections, strategies and the training process of teacher-trainees who have worked in this context. From the results and reflections on the classes given, it is possible to say that, despite there are many challenges and limitations, the interns have sought creative solutions, in an engaged, reflective and collaborative way and, in general, children and families have taken advantage of the lessons in very fun and creative ways.
