Abstract

ABSTRACT

A movement "which moves itself" has led me to constant observations. Due to it, I've got back to my doctoral paper about El Movimiento de la Canción Infantil Latinoamericana y Caribeña, the MOCILyC, (The Latin American and Caribbean Children Song Movement), in order to mobilize my reflections on musical and artistic productions for children. Therefore, such a text clips, widens and updates the study that was finished in 2018, starting from an outlook over the seed that has been planted - at a teaching staff and artists' encounter, linked to educational products in La Habana - and that has been spread out and has borne fruit in most Latin American and Caribbean countries. This report emphasis is addressed to song lyrics, by featuring diversity and content themes and also to sound peculiarity arrangements, and still, to the staging job performed by participant musical groups, by  denoting the esthetic / aesthetic authenticity of MOCILyC. Likewise, I present remarks about the teaching staff, parents and carers' role, regarding the offer of several musical possibilities for kids. The theoretical ground is based on Childhood Sociology, Musical Education, as well as on Society Critical Theory Concepts.
